Major BNB Chain Upgrade; Processing Capacity Leap is on the Way 🚀
Major BNB Chain Upgrade; Processing Capacity Leap is on the Way 🚀
Background
📅 The BNB Chain network will execute the major "Pastor Fork" upgrade on August 25, 2026
🛡 The main goal is to increase security, better manage validators, and upgrade the network's processing throughput
Focus
🔐 The transaction validation mechanism is improved for greater security of cross-chain asset transfers
🗝 Validator key management is strengthened to eliminate legacy and unnecessary access
📈 Experimental processing capacity has reached from about 1,237 to 2,324 transactions per second
Implications
⚡️ Processing more transactions without increasing block generation time can strengthen network scalability
🛡 Enhancing the security of cross-chain bridges can reduce the risk of asset transfers
📊 These changes reinforce BNB Chain's path to multiplying network capacity
Conclusion
🚀 The Pastor upgrade could be an important step for combining higher security and higher processing capacity on BNB Chain
